Manufactured in Switzerland from the best available carbon steel, Pegas® blades are heat treated after machining; the only method that guarantees toughness and optimum flexibility. Scroll saw does really perform with Pegas®.
Swiss made in our manufacturing plant of Vallorbe, we provide the highest quality saw blades. So far, never equaled :
Use the new Pegas® Super-Skip saw blade to achieve a smooth finish from an aggressive blade. Specially designed for hard and medium hardwoods. Super-Skip also works perfectly on Acrylic at a reduced speed. The spaces between the teeth of the Super-Skip blade are wider than the normal skip-tooth configuration. This enables the blade to cut very quickly, leaving a smooth finish. The surface sawdust is whisked away and the edge remains clean.
Skip 5" Universal Scroll saw blade is very efficient for Hard and Medium-Hard woods. The wide range of Skip allows the cutting of intricate patterns as well as rough-cut work. It will accept a fast feed rate and will leave a smooth finish.
Skip Reverse 5" has same tooth geometry as Skip but with an addition of reverse teeth at the bottom of the blade. Reverse blades prevent splinters on the underside of the work piece. Excellent blade for softer woods.
MGT (Modified Geometry Teeth) is probably the best blade on the market. The specific tooth design makes this blade extremely efficient and tolerates agressive feed rates, avoids overheating, leaves a smooth finish, and no splinters.
The teeth are on 360° which allows sawing in each direction. The work does not have to be turned to make cuts, so sharp inside corners can be created. This also allows working long pieces, which could not be turned on a 16'' or 21'' scroll saw.
These are high quality blades for precise cutting of thin metals up to .125 inch (3 mm) thick and for other hard, nonmetallic materials. They are specifically heat treated to give maximum performance with power scroll saws. Can be used in hand frames also.
The Pegas® Skip « Progressive » blade was developed for hand held saw frame use. It is particularly resistant to breakage, because of its progressive tooth activity on both sides of the blade. It is very easy to use, as the cut starts smoothly without resistance. The Skip « Progressive » works on any kind of wood. Its unique cutting ability and handling comfort make this the perfect choice for students, beginners, and apprentices.
The Pegas® Regular « Progressive » blade is based on the same principles as the Skip « Progressive », but it is designed to work on ferrous and non-ferrous metals and other materials that are harder than wood.
The first ever 5" plain ended blades developed specifically for the joiner to cut in hardwood, with hand frames. The teeth all face towards the center of the blade, so you get a clean ‘entry side’ cut on both faces. The spacing between the teeth has been carefully optimised to clear the waste efficiently yet still keep the teeth cutting smoothly. The blades are thin enough to drop down the kerf left by a Japanese dozuki; and at the ends of the blade the teeth feather out to nothing, making the blades easy to start – even in brittle exotic woods.
