Our History
1966 : Scies Miniatures established by Grobet File Company of America’s Swiss owner, J.-M. Robert 1966-1985 : Continuous growth and popularity of Scies Miniatures saw blades created need for larger facility 1985 : Scies Miniatures factory leaves the suburb of Lausanne, Switzerland, and moves to its new building in Vallorbe, Switzerland 1985 – 1995 : Growth continues, new and innovative manufacturing processes are introduced, and Scies Miniatures facility is expanded to accommodate state-of-the-art equipment and additional craftsmen 1996 : First scroll saw blades prototypes manufactured 2001-2005 : Wood saw blades machinery is developed, assembled, and new Pegas brand is launched 2014 : Development of precision band saw blades 2015 : Launch of Super Pike Specialty Jeweller’s saw blades 2016 : Launch of the exclusive and high-end scroll band saw
